This cover does NOT come with the plastic box that the Commuters and the Defenders come with. It's just a silicone sleeve. It was very easy to put on, but could be a bit tigher to conform to the sides of the screen a little better. I still wouldn't want to drop the phone from much higher than the kitchen counter, for example, but if I were to bump it on something, I feel confident the phone would be fine. The rubbery feel adds a slight bit of bulk to the phone that makes me feel more secure while holding it to talk. However, I don't think the texture is "sticky" enough to put the phone on dash of my car and expect it to stay there on a tight turn - I'd still use an anti-skid mat. But say you are on a call and you take the phone away from your ear to click over to another call or send a text, your screen won't light up because it still thinks its next to your ear. It fits perfect, is a great color and the buttons and ports are easily accessible. The material is a thick, solid rubber type and though I haven't dropped my phone yet (I'm sure I will) I feel like the phone will be very well protected. Some people have commented that the case adds bulk but I don't mind at all, I'd trade a little bulk to have the protection around my phone. I would recommend this case, I got it for a great price and believe it will pay for itself. I love the way my phone looks. I used to worry so much about dropping my phone that I barely took the phone out of my purse and only used it when necessary. That worry is now gone and I can enjoy all the great features of my new iphone. |
